The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) recently launched its Eastern Cape Alumni Chapter, marking a key milestone in strengthening alumni engagement. This is the fifth alumni chapter established since the university's founding, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining lifelong connections with graduates.
UMP Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Thoko Mayekiso, emphasized the university's growth, strategic vision, and dedication to sustainable development and alumni involvement.
"Alumni play a crucial role in shaping UMP's reputation and future. You are our ambassadors, carrying forward the values of excellence, integrity, and innovation," she said.
"Our university is not just expanding in numbers but also in impact. The alumni network should be a thriving community that provides support, mentorship, and opportunities for both graduates and current students."
